The first National Acupuncture Detoxification Association (US) was established in 1985 by Dr Michael Smith, the director of the Lincoln Recovery Centre in New York. NADA GB follows the Five-Point Ear Acupuncture Protocol which was initially used to help patients gain relief from substance withdrawal and prevent relapse after rehabilitation treatments.

Since then, the NADA protocol has been developed and used for many more conditions, including PTSD, stress, anxiety, depression, smoking cessation and irritability.

The 5 Point NADA Protocol

The NADA Protocol involves inserting five fine acupuncture needles into specific energetic points in the outer ear – the Sympathetic, Shen Men, Kidney Point, Liver Point and Lung Point. We supply NADA’s beautiful 5-point protocol poster, which is fantastic for displaying in your clinic. Both A2 and A4 sizes are available as a bundle for just £5.50.

At Phoenix, we specially designed our D-Type Detox Acupuncture Needles to satisfy NADA’s specific safety requirements. For this reason, our Detox Acupuncture Needles are used exclusively on NADA training programmes to ensure utmost patient safety. In addition to this, as part of NADA’s code of practice, NADA practitioners are required to use Phoenix D-Type Acupuncture Needles as no other brand is covered by their insurers.

Our D-Type Detox Acupuncture Needles are:

• Extremely fine, triple polished and coated with silicone to ensure painless insertion.
• Features a high-visibility handle so that they can be easily recovered if accidentally dropped onto the floor.
• Sterilised and packaged individually for single use.
